Last Sunday we did a little roadtrip in Franche-Comté. This would, in my opinion, qualify as a
coin perdu…
We drove for about an hour in the middle of
nothing, passing fields, spruce forests and lakes until I thought we
were actually in Finland. And I guess we crossed part of the Jura
mountains but they were more like hills so I wasn’t really sure.
Our destination.
This forest (can’t remember the name) is
known for its cascades. There is a whole day hike you can make following
the riverside and climbing up the hills but we just did a little Sunday
promenade.
The path was still partly frozen (read:
deadly slippery) and right on the other side of the fence the hillside
sloped very steeply some hundreds of metres down. Have I ever mentioned
that I’m afraid (terrified) of heights…?
I was sure the forest was enchanted…
